Photo Gallery & Fresh Start

A durable, project-wide index of every uploaded photo — reusable at any upload point and safe from the breakdown reset.

What the gallery is

Every photo you upload anywhere in a project — location scout and overhead photos, scene mood boards, prop photos, equipment photos, and shot references — is automatically recorded in a single project-wide photo gallery. The gallery is an index that outlives the individual records a photo is attached to, so a photo is never lost just because its scene, location, or prop was deleted.

Registration happens on the server as part of the upload, so photos taken from the mobile app are included too. Nothing extra is required of you.

Note:HEIC previews just work. iPhone photos are often HEIC/HEIF, a format most browsers can’t display. New HEIC uploads are converted to JPEG in the browser before storage, and any HEIC already in the gallery is decoded to JPEG on the fly when its thumbnail loads — so every tile shows a real image instead of a blank placeholder.

Reusing a photo

Beside every photo upload area there is a “Choose from gallery” option. It opens a picker with category tabs, filename search, and a thumbnail grid where you can select one or more photos. Picking a photo attaches the existing image to the new record — it does not re-upload or duplicate the file in storage.

The picker is available at all six upload surfaces:

  • Location detail — scout photos and overheads
  • Scene (Creative Hub) — location photos and the mood board
  • Prop detail — prop photos
  • Camera equipment and production equipment — equipment photos
  • Shot list — shot reference photos

Each surface pre-filters the gallery to the most relevant category, but you can switch to All or any other category from the tabs.

Fresh start

Fresh start is a super-admin-only reset that wipes a project’s breakdown so a new script breakdown can start from a clean slate. It is offered from the Run breakdown prompt on the Script Management page, and only when the project already has breakdown data.

What it deletes

  • All scenes (and their shots, notes, mood boards, palettes, and activity)
  • All locations (and their sources, aliases, and attachment records)
  • All props (and their scene/location links and sources)
  • Breakdown elements (cast, SFX, and other tagged items)
  • Comments and attachment records on those entities

What is kept

  • The entire photo gallery — every photo stays browsable and re-attachable
  • Script PDFs and version history
  • Analysis history
  • Schedule days and equipment records
Important:Fresh start is permanent and cannot be undone. Before running, every photo is captured into the gallery as a safety net. The confirmation dialog shows exact counts of what will be deleted, requires ticking a checkbox that names the project, and requires typing CONFIRM. On confirm, the breakdown is wiped and a new analysis begins on the selected script version.

Permissions

Any project member can view the gallery and reuse photos. Removing a photo from the gallery and running a fresh start are restricted to super admins.
