Creative Hub
A shared workspace where the Director, DP, and Production Designer collaborate to build scenes — from first read of the script to the final shot.
What is the Creative Hub?
The Creative Hub is a dedicated section of Studio Color for cross-department creative collaboration. It surfaces two core features side-by-side: Scenes and Locations.
The goal is to give the Art department and Camera department a shared space to build each scene together — working through narrative intent, visual references, color language, logistics, and the practical production requirements that bring a scene to life.
Navigating to Creative
Look for the Creative group in the left sidebar. It contains two items:
- Scenes — Your full scene list with list and gallery views. Clicking a scene opens its detail workspace.
- Locations — Your locations, with scouting status, photos, and source management.
Pinned navigation
Any nav item in the sidebar can be pinned using the pin icon (hover over the item to reveal it). Pinned items appear at the top of the project navigation under a Pinned header, giving you one-click access to the pages you use most.
Pins are stored per user per project, so everyone’s sidebar is personalized to their workflow. Drag to reorder pinned items, or click the pin icon again to unpin.
Scenes
Gallery view
The default gallery view shows each scene as a card. Cards display a photo from the scene’s location, with the scene number and name overlaid in the center. Hover over a card to see it come alive.
List view
Switch to list view using the toggle in the top right. List view shows scenes in a compact table with scene number, name, INT/EXT, time of day, location, and status.
Filtering and search
Use the search bar to filter by scene number, name, or description. Click any status pill to filter to just that status.
