AI Production Assistant
Ask questions about your production in plain language — scripts, schedule, crew, props, budget, and more. The assistant has full context for your project and answers in real time.
What can I ask?
The assistant has read access to all production data visible at your permission level, including scenes, shot list, props, locations, schedule, crew, budget, announcements, and the latest uploaded script. Examples:
- "What scenes are we shooting on day 3?" — Returns schedule day details with scene names and locations.
- "Which props still need sourcing?" — Lists props with no confirmed top-choice source.
- "Summarize the last script changes." — Pulls from the latest script version change summary.
- "What is the total budget for the art department?" — Returns the department budget limit and current line-item totals (admins and above only).
- "How do I add a prop source?" — Answers Studio Color how-to questions using the app guide.
Opening the assistant
Click the purple chat bubble in the bottom-right corner of any project page to open the Production Assistant panel. You can expand it to a wider view or minimize it to a floating icon without losing the conversation.
On iOS, tap the Assistant tab in the project navigation.
Usage limits & pricing
Each question to the assistant counts against your plan's monthly allotment. Usage resets at the start of each billing cycle.
Included questions per plan
- Small Team — 150 questions/month (hard cap; no overage).
- Production — 750 questions/month included, then $0.10 per additional question billed automatically at the end of your billing cycle.
- Studio — 3,000 questions/month included, then $0.10 per additional question.
Rate limits
- 10 questions per minute — A short cooldown prevents rapid bursts. Wait a moment and retry if you see a rate limit message.
- 200 questions per day — A daily hard limit applies to all plans regardless of monthly allotment. This resets at midnight UTC.
Access levels
The assistant respects your permission level for the project:
- Super admin / Owner — Full access to all production data including budget totals, crew deal rates, and department limits.
- Admin — Budget line items and crew deals are visible. Top-level budget settings and department caps may be restricted.
- Editor / Viewer — Budget and financial data is hidden. All other production data is available at your department access level.
If you ask about data outside your permission level, the assistant will tell you the information is restricted — it will not guess or fabricate answers.
Tips for better answers
- Be specific about which data you want. "What is the schedule for day 2?" is clearer than "What is the schedule?"
- The assistant can follow up within the same conversation — you do not need to repeat context each time.
- If the project data section says "no data yet", it means nothing has been added to that section, not that you lack access.
- For app how-to questions (adding props, setting up schedule, inviting crew), the assistant will include a link to the relevant docs page.
